Ljubljana, Slovenia | 22–23 October 2025
The TRACE consortium held its 6th Plenary Meeting in the vibrant city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, hosted by Pošta Slovenije. The two-day event brought together representatives from the 27 project partners across 11 European countries to review progress, align next steps, and showcase innovations driving the future of sustainable urban logistics.
Day 1: Consortium Updates and Collaboration
The first day took place at Pošta Slovenije’s headquarters on Čopova ulica. After a warm welcome and an overview of meeting objectives, partners presented the current status of each Work Package (WP), covering technical progress, deliverables, and coordination for the months ahead.
Throughout the day, partners engaged in constructive discussions about research outcomes, technology development, and pilot readiness across Europe. The evening concluded with a guided tour of Ljubljana’s historic city center and a social dinner at Zlata ladjica, strengthening collaboration within the consortium in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.
Day 2: Pilot Discussions and Live Demonstrations
The second day of the meeting was hosted at Kristalna palača, where partners focused on the project’s pilot activities in Greece, Italy, and Slovenia.
A major highlight was the Slovenian pilot demonstration held in BTC City Ljubljana, where Pošta Slovenije and TRACE partners showcased an autonomous robotic delivery as part of the Urban Consolidation Centre concept. This living-lab demonstration illustrated how robotic solutions can help reduce traffic congestion and lower the carbon footprint of last-mile delivery — key objectives of TRACE.
The pilot sparked lively discussions among partners, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between research institutions, industry, and public stakeholders in shaping the future of European logistics.
Innovation and Sustainability at the Core
By participating in TRACE, Pošta Slovenije strengthens its role as an innovative and responsible logistics provider, actively contributing to the digital transformation and sustainability of last-mile delivery systems.
TRACE continues to make steady progress toward its mission of creating a smarter, safer, and more environmentally friendly logistics ecosystem, supported by cutting-edge robotics and AI-driven solutions.
The TRACE consortium extends its sincere thanks to Pošta Slovenije for their warm hospitality and excellent organization of the meeting. The team looks forward to building on the insights shared in Ljubljana as TRACE moves into its next phase.
