Date: October 5–8, 2025
Location: Vienna, Austria
At the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC) 2025 conference in Vienna, the paper “Scalable Object Geolocation in Traffic Camera Imagery Using 3D World Model” was presented as part of the UNIM session. The work was authored by Chinmay Satish Shrivastav, Alessio Masola, Roberto Cavicchioli, Nicola Capodieci, and Paolo Burgio.
The presentation addressed a key technical challenge within the TRACE research domain — accurate and scalable geolocation of objects in traffic camera imagery through the integration of 3D world modeling and intelligent perception systems. The session was attended by a small but focused audience of researchers and academics specializing in intelligent systems, control, and computer vision.
Despite the modest attendance, the session provided valuable visibility for TRACE-related research within the international scientific community. Attendees showed interest in the modeling assumptions, scalability, and dataset requirements of the proposed approach.
Participation in IEEE SMC — a recognized venue for innovation in control systems and intelligent computing — contributed to the scientific dissemination of TRACE outcomes, reinforcing the project’s credibility in peer-reviewed technical circles. While no direct collaborations were initiated during the event, the presentation strengthened the academic footprint of TRACE in the fields of geolocation and vision-based modeling.
