TRACE at AI Connected Business World 2025: Synchromodality Paving the Way for a Smart, Green, and Collaborative Future in Logistics

On June 24, TRACE proudly took part in the AI Connected Business World 2025 conference, organized by SmartPress S.A. at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens. With technology, innovation, and connectivity at its core, the event brought together visionaries from across industries to explore how digital transformation can build a sustainable and resilient future.

Representing TRACE, Dr. Ioannis Neokosmidis, CEO of InCites Consulting, delivered a talk titled: “Synchromodality as a Driver for a Collaborative, Green and Smart Future in Logistics”

The session offered a deep dive into how synchromodality – the real-time harmonization of logistics actions and data across transport modes – can revolutionize the supply chain ecosystem. This forward-looking concept, currently under investigation within the TRACE HORIZON project, was presented as a catalyst for sustainability, transparency, and cross-sector collaboration, empowered by AI and cutting-edge digital technologies.

Key Highlights from TRACE’s Participation:

  • Synchromodality enables more dynamic, efficient, and environmentally responsible logistics operations.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a pivotal role in forecasting, decision-making, and real-time responsiveness within multimodal transport systems.

The TRACE approach emphasizes not only technological innovation but also the human and institutional collaboration required to deliver truly smart and resilient logistics infrastructures.

TRACE aligns closely with the conference’s wider themes, including smart cities, IoT, connectivity, and resilient infrastructure – showcasing how transport innovation supports broader digital ecosystem goals.
