On 4–5 March 2026, the TRACE consortium gathered in Vienna, Austria, for the 7th TRACE Plenary Meeting, hosted at the main building of TU Wien at Karlsplatz. The meeting was organised by TU Wien together with the MOVE research unit (Transport System Planning), which represents TU Wien’s contribution to the TRACE project.
As the project enters its final months, this plenary meeting marked the last in-person consortium gathering, providing an important opportunity for partners to review progress, align on final activities, and plan the last steps towards the successful completion of the project.
A Productive Two-Day Meeting
The two-day meeting brought together project partners for in-depth discussions across all work packages, covering progress achieved so far, pending tasks, upcoming deliverables, and priorities for the final phase of the project.
The agenda included detailed updates on:
- WP1 – Project Management and Coordination
- WP2 – Technical Developments
- WP3 – Core System Components
- WP4 – Integration and Validation
- WP5 – Data Management and Platform Development
- WP6 – Pilot Demonstrations and Lessons Learned
- WP7 – Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation
Each work package leader presented the latest developments, milestones achieved, and remaining tasks, ensuring that all partners remain aligned as the project moves towards its closing phase.
Particular attention was given to the three TRACE pilots, where partners shared lessons learned, implementation progress, and next steps, highlighting the tangible results emerging from the project’s innovative logistics solutions.
Collaboration and Forward Planning
Beyond the formal presentations, the meeting offered a valuable space for open discussion and collaboration. Partners exchanged ideas, addressed challenges, and coordinated efforts to ensure the successful delivery of the remaining project objectives and deliverables.
The sessions on communication, dissemination, and exploitation also focused on maximising the project’s impact, including final dissemination activities, stakeholder engagement, and the development of the project’s business and exploitation plans.
A Meaningful Final Plenary
While the agenda was intensive and highly productive, the atmosphere throughout the meeting remained very positive and collaborative. For many partners, the Vienna meeting represented a special milestone, as it was the last plenary meeting of the TRACE project.
Consortium members reflected on the strong collaboration built throughout the project, the progress achieved together, and the shared commitment to bringing TRACE successfully to its conclusion.
The TRACE consortium would like to warmly thank TU Wien and the MOVE research unit for hosting the meeting and ensuring excellent organisation.
As TRACE approaches its final months, partners remain fully engaged in finalising project results, demonstrating solutions through the pilots, and sharing outcomes with the wider logistics and mobility community.
