TRACE Italian Pilot presented at Cyclelogistics Workshop in Milan

On May 14th, 2025, TRACE had the opportunity to present its Italian pilot during the Cyclelogistics Workshop in Milan — currently the most relevant national event focused on cargo bikes and urban cyclelogistics in Italy. The event was hosted by TRT Academy and gathered key players from the logistics, mobility, and public sectors.

Cezar Gremi, CEO of URBICO, spoke on behalf of the project, sharing an overview of the work being done in Modena, where TRACE is piloting new solutions for smarter, cleaner urban deliveries. The presentation covered the pilot’s preparation phase, the technologies being deployed, and the expected outcomes aimed at making last-mile logistics more efficient and sustainable.

The audience included representatives from municipalities, logistics startups, mobility providers, and policymakers, making it a valuable platform to raise awareness and spark interest in the project.

“It was a great chance to introduce what we’re doing in Modena and why it matters for the future of urban deliveries,” said Gremi. “There was strong interest in the pilot and in how cities can benefit from these innovations.”

A follow-up workshop is planned for September, where TRACE will return to Milan to share initial results and lessons learned from the field.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue testing, learning, and sharing insights from TRACE pilots across Europe.
